My boyfriend and me stayed for the dreamforce in the Adagio. Everyone was really nice, especially Gloria and Tuan. Although the hotel is on the border to tenderloin I always felt safe although you got to know which streets you should take and which not when coming from the San Francisco center. The rooms are spacious clean, although one can see that really aince a few years nothing was modernized- but that’s okay. I personally liked the room and we had no problem with noise or whatsoever. Also the beds are reeeeeeeally comfy! Thank you for the great stay.

I always have such a great time every time I stay at this hotel—it’s become an annual tradition for me. The staff always take excellent care of me and my friends, and they go out of their way to make sure our needs are met. The rooms are beautiful, the prices are fair, and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. They’re also very willing to accommodate special requests, which I really appreciate. Every stay here feels relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable—I can’t wait to come back again!

Our stay at Hotel Adagio was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The location is perfect—right in the heart of San Francisco, close to shopping, dining, and just a short walk to Union Square. The hotel itself has such a stylish, boutique charm with modern touches while still feeling cozy and welcoming. A huge thank you to General Manager David, who is truly outstanding. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. Also, a special shout-out to Anastasia at the front desk—she was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. Both of them went out of their way to make us feel at home and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with comfortable bedding that made it hard to leave in the morning. The view of the city was incredible, and I appreciated all the thoughtful details the hotel provided to make the stay special. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Adagio to anyone visiting San Francisco. Between the amazing staff, excellent management, and beautiful hotel, it exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait to stay here again on my next trip.

I stayed there 2 nights on business in December. After staying in several other Marriott properties in SF proper and Bay Area, I was pleasantly surprised. This is nice nice tastefully decorated property, with good vibes and extremely friendly and cheerful service. Common areas are quite nice, the rooms are also well furnished and good sized. Good enough isolation, so even being sensitive sleeper, I enjoyed quite decent sleep. The bathrooms need some refresh and redecorating, and they were on a smaller size. The breakfast was complimentary for Titanium Members and pretty good quality. Bartenders were also friendly and drinks were good. The value wasn't bad, considering all extras, including the ones provided by mandatory Amenity fee. Could be less expensive, of course. Location is definitely not great, on the edge of infamous Tenderloin. Well, I personally know the area, and Geary St that used to be well known for their galleries, hotels, and restaurants, is less than exciting nowadays. Don't recommend turning right when you exit hotel at night, unless you are looking for a bit of a thrill...))) Well, Adagio cannot change location, I assume, and they are not to blame. Clift Hotel famed for their Redwood Room is right diagonally from Adagio is next block, and they went downhill more dramatically, in my opinion. Adagio is solid choice a bit away from Union Square hustle and noise, and solid 4, even 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Great service and the rooms have some upgrades since last time. We love it here. Just close to the seedy areas of SF tenderloin so you do have to deal with that.

A Gem in the Heart of San Francisco! I cannot recommend Hotel Adagio enough! From the moment I arrived, I knew I had picked the perfect spot for my stay in the city. Why I Loved It: * Vibe & Decor: The hotel is absolutely stunning. It perfectly balances old-world charm with a sleek, modern setting. It feels sophisticated and high-end without being stuffy. * The Staff & Management: Every interaction I had was a delight. The staff members were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. It’s clear that management is extremely knowledgeable and runs a tight ship. * Safety & Location: As a female traveling solo, safety is my top priority. I felt completely safe walking alone at night around the hotel. Plus, the location is unbeatable—you are close to basically everything! * Valet Service: Even the logistics were a breeze. I felt totally comfortable leaving my car here. The valet service was impressively efficient; even during a busy window, my car was ready in about 5 minutes. If you’re looking for a beautiful, safe, and professional place to stay in San Francisco, this is it. I’ll definitely be back! Special shout out to Isaac, Martin, and Flor!!! You all went above and beyond for me. Thank you for your gracious hospitality, I will always remember it fondly.

Lovely hotel with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our stay was made truly special by Tuan, who is one of the kindest and most genuine bellmen we’ve ever met. He was incredibly welcoming, caring, and always made sure our family felt looked after. At the end of our trip, he even gave us bags of chocolate as a thank you, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Tuan genuinely cares about the guests and is a true asset to the hotel.

Spacious rooms, excellent service, and solid value overall. The rooms are a very good size by San Francisco standards, and the service truly stands out. While the location is average and the surrounding neighborhood could be better, the overall experience more than made up for it. The hotel fee didn’t bother us at all because the perks included were genuinely worthwhile. Special shout-out to Tuan, the bellman, who went above and beyond to take care of us and made sure everything we needed was handled seamlessly. His hospitality really elevated our stay.
